NHRC launches integration of its Toll free number 14433 and online complaint filing system with Common Service Centre Portal of Government of India (27.12.2018)



New Delhi, 27th December, 2018

Mr. Justice H.L. Dattu, Chairperson, National Human Rights Commission, India today launched the Commission’s Toll free number 14433 and integration of its online complaint filing system with Common Service Centre, CSC Portal of Government of India at a brief ceremony at Manav Adhikar Bhawan, New Delhi. He said that these steps have been taken by the Commission to expand its outreach in line with its various Silver Jubilee initiatives.

Mr. Ambuj Sharma, Secretary General, NHRC said that as part of the collaborative programme with the Common Service Centre team, the NHRC, to begin with, has shortlisted 750 Common Service Centres with at least one each in a district. The service will be expanded to all the CSCs in a phased manner.

Now people, in addition to sending their complaints of human rights violations to the Commission by post, fax, e-mail, online through NHRC website; www.nhrc.nic.in, can also send them through the Common Service Centres. They can also contact the NHRC at the Toll free number for necessary guidance regarding complaints.

Mr. Gurbachan Singh, Director General(Investigation), Dr Ranjit Singh, J.S. (P&A) and other senior officers and staff of the Commission and the representatives of Common Service Centre team were present on the occasion.
