NHRC, Nepal delegation visits NHRC, India (04.02.2019)

New Delhi, 04th February, 2019

A delegation from the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Nepal is visiting the National Human Rights Commission, India from 04-08th February, 2019. The seven member NHRC, Nepal delegation it led by Mr. Sudip Pathak, Commissioner and includes, among senior officers, Mr. Bed Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary, Mr. Murari Prasad Kharel, Director.

The delegation today met with the NHRC India Chairperson, Mr. Justice H.L. Dattu and Member Mrs. Jyotika Kalra and Mr. Jaideep Govind, Secretary General and other senior officers to have overview of the functioning of the Commission. They would be further briefed by the specialist officers handling complaints, investigation, research, information technology and media related issues in the NHRC, India.

They will also be visiting the National Commission for Women, National Commission for Scheduled Castes , National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, National Commission for Minorities, National Commission for Backward Classes and National Commission for Safai Karamcharis to understand their functioning.
