A delegation of Dalit Human Rights Activitists meets the Chairperson
A delegation of Dalit Human Rights activitists and academicians called on the Chairperson, Justice Shri S. Rajendra Babu on May 14, 2007 they gave a representation to the Chairperson in which they had cited the alleged atrocities being perpetrated on the Dalits in the country.
The delegation which was led by Xavier Arockiasany, Co-ordinator of Social Equity Audit Secretariat; Shri N. Paul Divakar, National Convenor of National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights requested the Commission's intervention to eradicate untouchability which is still prevalent in the country in some or the other form.
