Award for Creative Writing on Human Rights in Hindi - 2004-2005

In a bid to encourage creative writing in Hindi on various subjects pertaining to Human Rights, the National Human Rights Commission under its award scheme "Creative writing on Human Rights in Hindi", invites Hindi books/manuscripts (original or translated from other Indian Languages or English). The total number of words in each book/manuscript should be at least 30,000. The last date for sending the entries is 31 December 2004.
The award scheme started in 1998 envisages six awards of which three are given for original writings in Hindi and three for translation into Hindi on works from other Indian Languages and English.
The prize money for writing books in Hindi is Rs.25,000/-, 20,000/- and 15,000/- for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. For Hindi translation of standard books of other Indian languages or English, the prize money is Rs.15,000/-, 10,000/- and 7,500/- for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
