Delegation visits NHRC
A delegation from the Bangladesh Human Rights Commission led by its Secretary, Md. Shamsuzzaman Bhuiyan visited NHRC, India on the 25th May, 2011 to know and understand its structure and functioning. The delegation was briefed by the senior officers about various aspects relating to the Commission's functioning, including the Complaint Management System and important guidelines issued by the Commission for public authorities towards promotion and protection of human rights. The Members of the delegation were also provided with a list of NHRC, India publications.
The Commission also arranged the meetings of the delegation with the functionaries of the National Commission for Women, NCW and the National Commission for Minorities, NCM on the 26th May, 2011. Ms. Yasmeen Abrar, Chairperson, NCW and Mr. Wajahat Habibullah, Chairperson, NCM along with their senior officers interacted with the delegation.
During the interactions, the delegation was extended all possible cooperation to make the Bangladesh Human Rights Commission more effective in its functioning.
