Media carried a report on the 2nd September, 2009 that in a blood donation camp at Chomu Town near Jaipur, Rajasthan, an MLA persuaded minor school children to donate blood. As a result, allegedly, Anil Sharma, one of the students had to be admitted to Jaipur SMS hospital in a critical condition. Taking suo motu cognizance of the report, the Commission observed that the contents of the press report, if true, raise serious issue of violation of the minor students' human rights and issued a notice on the 10th September, 2009 to the District Collector, Jaipur calling for a report in the matter.
