The Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission Mr. Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah inaugurated a project "Copy Andolan" in New Delhi on 31 July 1999. This project aims at providing a set of 12 exercise books each to 10,000 students of underprivileged sections of society. It is expected that this supply will suffice for their requirements for one scholastic year. The organisers plan to make this a countrywide movement.
