Chairperson Dr. Justice A.S. Anand personally reviewed the working of the Commission's Information and Facilitation Centre -- 'MADAD' by paying a visit to it on 20 September 2004. Accompanied by senior officials of the Commission, he was briefed by the staff on the nature of complaints received and the experiences encountered by them in their interaction with complainants and victims. Since the Centre was established on 2 October 2001, the MADAD Centre alone has entertained around 32,253 complaints of which 8,771 were recommended for further action. The Centre also started recording complaints received over phone from June 2003.
