DSP, NHRC decorated with President's Police Medal

Shri Krishan Kumar Arora, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Retd.), who retired from NHRC in March last year has been awarded the President's Police Medal for meritorious services. Shri Arora who joined the Commission in 1995 was involved in conducting a large number of spot inquiries, dealing with a number of cases of custodial death, illegal detention and torture in police custody. He also investigated cases of child labour, child marriages in Rajasthan, trafficking of girls and Chakma refugees in Tripura.
Shri Arora was decorated with the President's Police Medal by the NHRC, Chairperson, Justice Shri S. Rajendra Babu at a simple ceremony in the Commission today. All the Members of the Commission, the Secretary General, officers and the staff of the Commission were present on the occasion.
