NHRC organized various programmes to mark Hindi Phakhwada from 14 - 29 September, 2008 to promote the use of official language in its functioning. 98 officers and staff members participated in the events like Hindi essay writing, noting/drafting, debate, quiz, declamation, kavi sammelan, writing and singing. Issues and subjects related with human rights dominated the theme of most of these events.
