The Commission observes Human Rights Day on 10 December every year in commemoration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights signed in 1948. This year, the Chief Guest for the Commission's function held at Delhi was Mr. Morten Kjaerum, Chairperson, International Coordinating Committee of National Institutions.
