The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC organized some other activities also in connection with the Human Rights Day celebration. NHRC, Chairperson, Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan read a message on the National Network of All India Radio and Doordarshan. His interviews were also broadcast by All India Radio. NHRC Member, Mr. P.C. Sharma and Registrar (Law) Mr. A.K. Garg also participated in different special programmes on Doordarshan and All India Radio. Press releases to facilitate wide coverage to human rights day celebration were also issued to media. In addition to this, the Commission as a collaborative effort, circulated short messages on Human Rights Day through the mobile phone networks.
