The NHRC organized some other activities also in connection with the Human Rights Day celebration. NHRC Acting Chairperson, Justice Shri G.P. Mathur read a message on the National Network of All India Radio and Doordarshan in Hindi and English. Members Justice Shri B.C. Patel, Shri P.C. Sharma and Registrar (Law) Shri A.K. Garg participated in different special programmes on Doordarshan and All India Radio. Press releases to facilitate wide coverage to human rights day celebration were also issued to media. In addition the Commission, as a collaborative effort, circulated short messages on Human Rights Day through the mobile phone networks.
