For the first time since the inception of NHRC, on a request from the Ministry of External Affairs, 20 IFS Probationers of 2005 batch were attached to the Commission for two days to familiarize with human right issues in the month of July-2006. The Chairperson, Members of NHRC interacted with the probationers. Wide ranging discussions took place. The Probationers were made aware of disability issues and the NHRC initiative in making the rights perspective as the center stage to the development process. Their queries on Power and Jurisdiction of the Commission were also addressed.
