IFS Probationers on attachment
Eighteen Indian Foreign Service IFS Probationers of 2007 batch were on a two-day attachment programme with the Commission in the month of June. The programme is an integral part of their regular training. During the two-day attachment on June 5 & 6, 2008, they were briefed on the mandate of the Commission. They were also informed about the working of different Divisions in the Commission. They interacted with senior officials on a number of subjects including: Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Disability issues including Mental Health, Custodial Justice and Human Rights, Role of NHRC in UN System, Judiciary & the NHRC, Child Labour and Migrant Workers and were given a demonstration on the working of the Complaint Management System. For the probationers it was an occasion to interact with the Chairperson, Justice Shri S. Rajendra Babu and Members of the Commission.
