The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC held a meeting of its Core Group on Mental Health in New Delhi on the 15th April, 2015. The aim of the meeting was to take stock of its previous recommendations seeking improvement in the mental healthcare and further action required regarding a petition on the issue filed by it in the Supreme Court. The meeting was chaired by NHRC Member, Shri S.C. Sinha. 33 recommendations, emanated from the deliberations, will be sent to the Centre and the State Governments for action.
