NGO's Core group meeting
A meeting of the core group of Non Group Organisations was held on the 10th September, 2009 in the Commission. The meeting was chaired by Justice Shri G.P. Mathur, Acting Chairperson, NHRC. The members of the Commission, Justice Shri B.C. Patel, Shri P.C. Sharma, Shri Satyabrata Pal and senior officers also participated in the meeting.
Justice Shri Mathur stressed upon the need of more frequent interaction and better coordination of the efforts between Human Rights Commission and civil society organisations in spreading human rights awareness. Several issues mainly aimed at evolving better coordination between NHRC and NGOs for protection and promotion of human rights were discussed.
