Justice Shri K.G. Balakrishnan attended the APF Forum Council Working Group Meeting on ‘Strategic Planning, 2015 – 2020’ at Sydney, Australia from the 25th to 27th June, 2014. The Group, comprising of the representatives of the NHRIs in the region, discussed specific areas of human rights issues which could be the focus area for APF during the next five years starting from 2015. These will be in addition to the other issues of human rights violations which the NHRIs have been addressing through their interventions. Justice Balakrishnan also held meeting with the officials of the Australian Human Rights Commission.
