The NHRC Chairperson, Justice Shri H.L. Dattu, NHRC accompanied by Secretary General, NHRC Shri S.N. Mohanty, visited Central Jail, Mangalore and Children's Home/Observation Home, Udupi from the 23rd -25th August, 2016 and checked the facilities there. An under construction building for the Child Care Centre was inspected. They also went to see Spoorthidhama Rural Development and Training Society at Koteshwar. Senior officers of the concerned departments of the State Government and District administration were present.
