The National Human Rights Commission constituted its Core Group on Bonded Labour in order to give further impetus to its efforts towards elimination of this evil practice. The Core Group aims at reviewing existing government policies, Acts, Rules etc. on bonded labour from the human rights perspective and will suggest amendments therein to meet the objective. The members of the Core Group comprise academicians, legal experts, NGO representatives and former civil servants.
