The National Human Rights Commission has issued notices to Chief Secretary, Government of Haryana and the District Magistrate, Sonepat, to submit reports within four weeks into allegations made in a media report that a young man was electrocuted in Sarswati Vihar in District Sonepat.
Allegedly, his dead body remained entangled in wires for an hour after the incident.
The Commission has observed that the content of press report, if true, raise a serious issue of violation of human rights of the deceased.
The news report was forwarded to the Commission by a complainant.
