NHRC issues notice to SSP, Moradabad, UP in a case of death of an MBBS student.

The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to SSP, Moradabad, UP on a complaint that tardy investigations into the alleged murder of a girl, Neeraj Bhadana, who was a first year student of MBBS in the Teerthankar Mahavir College, Moradabad and was found dead in her hostel on 6th July, 2013. He has been given four weeks time to respond.
The complainant, Advocate Sunil Kumar Bainsla, has alleged that the post-mortem report of the victim has revealed that she was strangulated but so far there is no further progress in the police investigation and the delay may allow the culprits to escape.
The complainant has also requested the Commission to issue guidelines for the safety of the students, especially for girls studying in private college.
