NHRC notice to Delhi Chief Secretary and Commissioners of the three corporations over non-payment of salary to primary school teachers( 3/2/2016)

The National Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of a complaint alleging that non- payment of salary to the School Teachers by the Municipal Corporations in Delhi has put them at the verge of starvation. Allegedly, primary teachers of MCD schools have no money to pay school fee of their children, to buy food and medicines. Justice Shri D Murugesan, Member, NHRC, issuing notices to the Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi and Commissioners of North, South and East MCD has called for action taken report in the matter within four weeks.
