The National Human Rights Commission, led by its Acting Chairperson, Mr. Justice Cyriac Joseph today paid homage to the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The Acting Chairperson, Members, officers and staff of the NHRC held a Condolence Meeting to mourn the sad demise of the former President.

In his message, Mr. Justice Cyriac Joseph described Dr. Abdul Kalam as a genius, visionary and humanist who is an icon for the youth. He said that in Dr. Kalam's demise, the country lost a great citizen, who was loved and respected not only by the Indians but also by the global community.

Later, Mr. Justice Cyriac Joseph also placed a wreath on the mortal remains of Dr. Kalam.
