Mr. S.K.S. Bansal, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, working in the Investigation Division of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), has been honoured with the President's police medal for long and meritorious services on the occasion of the Independence Day, 2010.
He has been a part of a number of investigations conducted by the Investigation Division of NHRC on complaints of human rights violation.
Prior to joining NHRC in 1998 as an Inspector, Mr. Bansal was working in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He is the seventh police officer posted in NHRC to have received the prestigious award.
