The National Human Rights Commission has re-constituted its Core Advisory Group on Right to Food having 12 nominated members. The Core Group will help the Commission in reviewing existing Government policies, laws, rules, orders etc. concerning the Right to Food from human rights perspective and make an assessment of current status of enforcement of this Right in different States/Union Territories to identify any gaps in the policy framework and its implementation and give recommendations. The Group will meet periodically at regular intervals or as and when deemed necessary.
