The Commission in addition to seeking reports from the concerned public authorities in the matters of human rights violations also orders on the spot investigation by its own team in
some cases.
During the month of September, 2011, an investigation team was sent to District Garhwa in Jharkhand for an on-the-spot enquiry of the cases relating to sufferings caused to the locals from fluorosis due to impurities in water.
