A month long Winter Internship Programme of the NHRC commenced from the 22nd December, 2014.
50 students of legal studies and various disciplines of social sciences from different Universities and Colleges of 17 States/UTs were shortlisted for the internship.
The interns will be given exposure to various aspects of the functioning of the Commission, national and international Laws and Covenants on Human Rights. They will also be taken for field visits to police stations, prisons and NGOs. The interns will also be assigned different subjects concerning human rights for their dissertations.
