Another training programme on 'Rights Protection, Accountability and Disaster Risk Deduction' was organised at Port Blair in Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 14th March 2013. Justice Shri K.G. Balakrishnan, Chairperson, NHRC and Shri Jaideep Singh Kochher, Joint Secretary (Trg.), NHRC addressed more than 90 participants representing Police, Health and Fire services. Community leaders and NGOs also attended. Senior officers of Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Shri Anand Prakash, Chief Secretary, Mrs. Purnia Shrivastava, Commissioner -cum - Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management and Shri Ashok Sharma, Director, Directorate of Disaster Management were present.
