The National Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of a complaint alleging that non-payment of salary to the school teachers by the Municipal Corporations in Delhi, MCD has put them at the verge of starvation. Allegedly, primary teachers of the MCD schools have no money to pay school fee of their children and to buy food and medicines. The Commission has issued notices to the Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi and Commissioners of North, South and East MCD calling for action taken reports in the matter.
