Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Secretary General, NHRC attended the annual meeting of Senior Executive Officers convened by the Asia Pacific Forum (APF) in Sydney, Australia from the 24th -25th May, 2012. Several key issues were discussed which included, NHRI accreditation process, role of NHRIs operating in times of conflict, crisis, emergency and national transition, strategic plans and planning, expanding scope of NHRIs participation in the international human rights system and capacity assessment mechanism of different NHRIs.
