A meeting of the Statutory Full Commission was held on the 15th January, 2011 to have any interaction with the United Nations' Special Rapporteur on Human Right Defenders, Ms. Margaret Sekaggya. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Chairperson, NHRC presided over the meeting. NHRC Members and the representatives of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, the National Commission for Women, the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes attended the meeting. Dr. Shantha Sinha, Chairperson, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, participated in the discussions as a special invitee. Several issues relating to human rights were
discussed.
