Mr. Viplav Kumar Choudhry, Senior Superintendent of Police, NHRC representing NHRC, India attended a training programme on 'Human Rights Advocacy and Migrant Workers' from the 17th-21st October, 2011 at Bangkok, Thailand. The programme was organized by the Diplomacy Training Programme affiliated with the Faculty of Law at the University of New South Wales, Australia in partnership with the Migrant Forum Asia, Human Rights Development Foundation (Thailand) and the Asia Pacific Forum of NHRIs. Twenty six persons representing NGOs, trade unions and NHRIs of different countries in Asia pacific region attended the training programme wherein the key issues concerning the problems of migrant workers were discussed.
