The Secretary General, NHRC, Mr. K.S. Money addressed the participants of a training programme on Human Rights and Policing at the Tamil Nadu Police Training Academy, Chennai on the 12th July, 2010. Elaborating on the imperatives of human rights in law enforcement, Mr. Money threw light on some of the specific provisions of the law that needed to be exercised by the police authorities, while effecting arrest, search and seizure and interrogation of the accused or the witness. He referred to some of the important guidelines issued by the Commission, and also presented some important case studies of the Commission.
