Bio Data of Smt Vijaya Bharathi Sayani
Smt. Vijaya Bharati Sayani studied BA., B.Ed., LL.B. with over 45 years in active social work, she has a deep understanding of societal issues that are related to but not limited to, women, children, Indian education and culture.
After having worked as a teacher for a few years, she started practicing law in the year 1995. She has been the Central Government Additional Standing Council in Telangana High Court. She focused on various women's related cases in lower courts. She has been part of various socio-cultural organizations such as ‘Vatsalya Sindhu’ - an orphanage, where she was a teacher and a mentor to the children. She volunteered in an all women's trust – ‘Aparajita Seva Trust’ - and has been closely associated with intellectual forums such as Prajnabharati and Samvardhini Nyas.
She took part in various seminars, addressed multiple women's forums, and guided thousands of women about women empowerment from Bharatiya perspective. With the intent to guide and energize the youth of India, she conducted workshops in over 200 colleges. She has been very active in voicing her opinion on various social issues of national importance.
Has authored over 250 articles for the Nationalist Weekly – ‘Jagruti’ and other such magazines. She participated in many TV Channel debates.
She is associated with the ‘Niveditha Legal Aid Center’ run by RR Trust. She was Member of Central Film Censor Board, experienced as Ethical Committee Member for Gandhi Government Hospital and IICT, Hyderabad.
At present, Vijaya Bharati Sayani holds the post of Acting Chairperson, NHRC.
