Cancellation of NHRC Chairperson's visit to Kerala

New Delhi, 28 December 2004

The visit of Dr.Justice A.S.Anand, Chairperson, NHRC, to Kerala from 30th December 2004 to 1st January 2005 to inaugurate a programme 'Human Rights Campaign 2004' organized by Jama'at-E-Islami Hind Kerala Circle, has been postponed in view of the havoc caused by the Tsunami Tidal waves so as not to cause any hindrance to the machinery of the State Government which is busy in carrying out relief and rehabilitation work.
