Vacancies at NHRC for the post of Research Officer and Research Assistant

RESEARCH PROJECTS IN NHRC

The Commission is looking for bright, innovative, computer savvy, persons capable of working independently, to carry out Research studies and bring out well-documented data and analysis. The candidate should have an academic bent of mind with a keen interest in carrying out Research on issues in the social sector, with special emphasis on their Human Rights dimensions
The broad focal areas on which the Commission proposes such studies are listed below: -

Focal Areas :- a) Health Care
b) Drinking Water
c) Human Rights Education
d) Training
e) Information Dissemination
f) Food Securities
g) HIV/AIDs
h) Women and Child related issues

2. The engagement of personnel for the projects would be on contract basis for a period of one year initially, extendable upto 3 years depending upon performance and need. The positions available and the required eligibility criteria are given below:-

a) Research Officer: (i) A Post graduate degree in any of the
(Posts - 2) social sciences with an aggregate of not less
than 60%.

(ii) Knowledge of research methodology and sufficient experience of working on research projects in the specified field, would be desirable.

Age - Upto the age of 65 years
A Research Officer would be paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 20,000/- per month.

< b) Research Assistant : (i) A Post graduate degree in any of
(Posts - 5 ) the social sciences with an aggregate
of not less than 50%.

(ii) Experience of having worked for at least 6 months on a research project would be desirable.

Age - 22 to 30 years (Maximum age is relaxable upto 10 years in case of persons with additional experience etc).

A Research Assistant would be paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 15,000/- per month.
