WORKSHOP ON THE UNIVERSAL PERIODIC REVIEW MECHANISM IN AUSTRALIA <br>

A workshop on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism was held from the
2nd-3rd March, 2010 at Sydney, Australia. Mr. B.S. Nagar, Under Secretary (Coordination) represented NHRC at the workshop. In a presentation, he threw light on the status of NHRC's consultations with the government of India towards implementing UPR outcomes. The aim of the workshop was to develop Asia Pacific strategy and advance role of NHRIs in the Universal Periodic Review.
