Mr. A. K. Shrivastava joins NHRC as Joint Secretary<br>

Mr. Alok K. Shrivastava joined as the Joint Secretary (P&A) in the Commission on the 5th November, 2012. He is a 1984 batch IAS officer of the Sikkim cadre. Prior to his joining, he was Principal Secretary, Social Justice & Empowerment and Science & Technology Departments, Govt. of Sikkim. Apart from heading the key Departments of Food & C.S., Irrigation, Commerce & Industry and Tourism in his cadre State, he also served the Union Government twice in different capacities. Though by vocation, he is a career civil servant, by passion he is a writer. It is exemplified by his being an author of two books, editor of one and three dozen articles on diverse issues. He also has three photo exhibitions to his credit.
