Summer Internship Programme Concludes<br>

NHRC's Summer Internship Programme, 2013 concluded on 25th June, 2013. 50 students from 15 different States/UTs attended the programme. Addressing the valedictory function as the Chief Guest, Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph, Member, NHRC, congratulated the interns and said that they should work on their networking and remain in touch with the NHRC to help in protection and promotion of human rights. He said that basic law is the Constitution of the country and this perceptional clarity will make the interns a perfect human rights activist.
Later, he along with Shri S.C. Sinha, Member, NHRC awarded the certificates to the interns. 6 of them, including 4 girls and 2 boys, jointly shared the honour of the best interns in the first, second and third position and were given Rs.2500/-, Rs.1500/- and Rs.1000/- each respectively.
Earlier, Dr. S.K. Jain, S.R.O. (Trg.) presented a detailed report on the various activities organised. Shri J.S. Kochher, J.S. (Trg.) thanked the resource persons for guiding the interns. The interns also shared their experience and gave valuable suggestions. Registrar (Law), POs, DIG, SSsP and I&PRO were present among others.
