NHRC's Summer Internship Programme begins

Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph, Acting Chairperson, NHRC inaugurated a month-long Summer Internship Programme of the Commission in New Delhi on the 28th May, 2015. About 50 students from different Universities in the country have been selected for participation. They would be exposed to various human rights issues and laws, composition, role and function of the Commission. The interns would be guided to write dissertations on various issues and aspects of human rights. Field visits to prisons and NGOs would also be organised to give them a first-hand account of the functioning of such institutions.
