Delegation from People's Watch and Amnesty International India, called on the Chairperson

A delegation consisting of Members of two Human Rights Organizations - People's Watch and Amnesty International India, called on the Chairperson Justice Shri S. Rajendra Babu, on June 26, 2007, Anti-torture Day and presented a memorandum. They requested the Chairperson to use his good office to impress upon the Government of India, to ratify the "UN Convention Against Torture And Other Forms Of Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading Treatment Or Punishment (1984), which was signed on October14, 1997.
