Dr. Justice Shivaraj V. Patil appointed Acting Chairperson of NHRC

Dr. Justice Shivaraj V.Patil, Member has been appointed the Acting Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission. A notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs said that Dr. Justice Shri Shivaraj V.Patil, Member, NHRC has been authorized to act as the Chairperson of the Commission w.e.f. November 1, 2006 until the appointment of a new Chairperson.
