Foreign diplomats visit NHRC<br>

A delegation of 20 foreign diplomats under the auspices of Foreign Services Institute, (FSI) MEA visited NHRC on 22nd April, 2013 for an exposure to the functioning of the Commission and its achievements. They interacted with Justice Shri K.G. Balakrishnan, Chairperson, NHRC on various issues related to human rights in India as well as the mandate and the jurisdiction of the Commission.
Shri J.S. Kochher, Joint Secretary (Trg.) gave a power point presentation on various aspects of the Commission. Dr. Ashok Sahu, Secretary General, Shri A.K. Shrivastava, Joint Secretary (P&A) too were present and interacted with the delegates. The foreign diplomats were in India in connection with the 57th Professional Course organised by the Foreign Service Institute, Ministry of External Affairs.
