Human Rights training programmes

The National Human Rights Commission approved 84 proposals of different institutions for organizing training programmes on human rights during the current year. Out of this, 18 were conducted in July and August. The Commission provides financial assistance, course module and material to the institutions for conducting these programmes. An amount of maximum 1.5 lakh rupees is given to Administrative Training Institutions for three days trainers' sensitization programme on human rights. Fifty thousand rupees are provided for one day basic programme, and a sum of twenty five thousand rupees is given to colleges and universities for one day programme.
