Justice Mathur joins as Member, NHRC

Justice Shri Govind Prasad Mathur has joined the Commission as a Member. A product of Allahabad University, Justice Mathur joined the legal profession in 1964. He was appointed as permanent judge of Allahabad High Court in 1990 and acting Chief Justice in 2002. Justice G.P. Mathur was appointed as Judge of Supreme Court on December 20, 2002 from where he retired in January 2008.
