NHRC team visits Manipur to prepare for Camp Sitting<br>

A two-member team of the NHRC comprising Shri A K Parashar, JR(Law) and Sushri Sonali Huria, Research Consultant visited Manipur from 17th - 20th September, 2013 to meet senior officers of the State and collect data on various Central/State Government sponsored Flagship Programmes to prepare for the Camp Sitting of the Commission.
The team also visited anganwadi centres, primary schools, primary healthcare centres, and MNREGA work sites across the Imphal (West), Imphal (East) and Chandel Districts of Manipur to have a first hand account of the situation on the ground and also assess the implemen-tation of the ICDS and mid-day meal scheme and availability of medical services in these Districts.
