Two day National Seminar in Hindi




The National Human Rights Commission organised a two-day National Seminar on 'Indian Society, Media and Challenges of Human Rights: A Dialogue' at
the Auditorium of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Law, Nagpur, Maharashtra from the 14th-15th September, 2015. The Seminar was organised in collaboration with the R.T.M. Nagpur University. Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph, Acting Chair-person, NHRC inaugurated the seminar. Shri S.C. Sinha, Member, NHRC, Prof. Girishwar Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi University, Wardha, Maharashtra, Shri S.N. Mohanty, Secretary General, NHRC and Dr. Ranjit Singh, Joint Secretary, NHRC also addressed the gathering among other prominent speakers, including Dr. Siddarthavinay P. Kane, Vice-Chancellor, R.T.M. Nagpur University.
The aim of the seminar was to discuss various aspects related to the role of Indian society and media in promotion and protection of human rights. The seminar was divided into three academic sessions apart from the inaugural and concluding sessions.
